NSU is an R1 University!

NSU has been designated an R1 institute by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, ranking it in the top 5% of universities in the US! The R1 designation signifies that NSU is amongst those universities with the highest levels of research activity and doctoral program graduates. At NSU, the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences (which the Seascape Ecology lab is a part of) is responsible for a large proportion of that research funding, and we have a thriving marine research program for undergraduates and graduate students to be a part of.
