Rosanna Milligan is a NAS Early Career Research Fellow

I am delighted to announce that I have been awarded a National Academy of Sciences Early Career Research Fellowship on the Environmental Protection and Stewardship Track! This fellowship provides a $76,000 award over two years to help support my research in the offshore Gulf of Mexico and develop my research program over the 2022 - 2024 funding period.

Over this time, I intend to use the funding to buy out some of my teaching load so I can focus on new analyses using data from the DEEPEND research program, develop new datasets for future analyses, and develop new funding avenues for future deep-sea research efforts in the lab. I also intend to hire a student lab manager to facilitate this work.
