Congratulations to Sidney Trimble for an excellent defense of her MS thesis! Her topic was "Estimating the Carbon Flux of Argyropelecus aculeatus within the Gulf of Mexico" and was a modeling study to estimate the individual energy budgets of a common hatchetfish and the extent to which they might contribute to the biological carbon pump and carbon storage in the deep oceans. You can read her thesis here: https://nsuworks.nova.edu/hcas_etd_all/199

Sidney is now working in Tracey Sutton's Oceanic Ecology lab as a research tech and has joined us on two recent research cruises.
